Condolence: Many of us will miss Mary so much. I'm very lucky to have had the chance to volunteer with her at Rosies Place and HCA and frequently to share our commute into Boston on the Red line. She was such an inspiration. I'm very sorry for her friends and family that we have had to say good bye to Mary so soon.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with wife Lynne, mom Fran, brothers, sister /sisters in law and her many, nieces and nephews. Mary gave without reservation and braved the long road to ending homelessness in many of the communities around us. There are too many acts of kindness to strangers and families alike to list. We were fortunate to live with Mary as a roommate and then as tenants when we all moved to Arlington. Mary was a constant inspiration to our family. She was present at the birth of our daughter and became a constant force in guiding her in such a peaceful and loving way that we know that Mary’s influence has shaped who Kelsey has become. So many memories over the past 25 years... Our trips together to Martha's Vineyard, the Brooks family home in Maine, the SFC cabin, Cranes Beach, the Weston pool, even Steve's for Ice cream in the Square, and Mary and Lynne's bike trip with Kelsey to the Cape, were all so special. Mary's laughter was infectious and on many occasion we would laugh so hard we would cry or have to stop (we would actually call Time Out!) just to catch our breath. All of the memories that we shared together will live in our hearts forever! We will miss you dear friend. May you walk amongst greatness for all eternity. Love, Donna, Linda and Kelsey

Condolence: It is an honor and a privilege to carry forth Mary's work and vision at Homes for Families. The impact she had on the agency, all of us as individuals, and the field is tremendous. We all looked up to her as a mentor, a friend and leader...and truly valued her support, wisdom, compassion and her approval. We are glad to the time we shared and the legacy she left. We will miss her.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened by Mary’s passing and express my condolences to Mary’s family, friends and colleagues. As one of many who worked with Mary over the past years, I came to appreciate her light heartedness, her wisdom and her keen intellect carefully applied to the daily task of ending homelessness here in the Commonwealth. I learned a lot from Mary, and will draw from her inspiration and leadership for years to come. May she rest in peace. Peter Shapiro

Condolence: I love seeing Mary's warm smile in these photos. She was an amazing professional: creative, thoughtful, thorough, all those things and at the same time, a warm loving caring person who did this work for all thei right reasons. I will miss her sorely.
