Jeffrey K.  Ramsey
RAMSEY, Jeffrey K. of Cambridge. Jeff departed this world in January after a brief illness. An amiable and loyal friend, he was well-respected by all. Endowed with a great sense of humor, an empathetic soul and much personal warmth, he was a beloved Cantibrigian, and a part of the Harvard University community for some 18 years prior to retirement in 2008. He was a resident of Cambridge Court Apartments, Cambridge, MA.

Jeff was a loyal fan of The Boston Red Sox. An avid reader and patron the Cambridge Public Library, he loved the written word and was knowledgeable about authors, politicians and comedians. Blues artists were among his musical favorites.

Jeffrey was the son of Kenneth and Mae Ramsey of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by sisters Karen Flaig, Kelly Stringham, and Amy Hoffman, as well as a brother, Kerry Ramsey. He was predeceased by a younger brother, Kenneth Jr. He also leaves nieces and nephews, as well as long-time friends Ralph Vatalaro, Chet Johnson and Rita Filipowicz.

Arrangements are by Keefe Funeral Homes. A memorial service will be held at Cambridge Cemetery ON Friday March 3rd, at 1:30 pm. Relatives and friends are invited. Details of the service will be posted on the Keefe memorial web site.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in his name to The Jimmy Fund, Boston, MA.
