STATHOPOULOS, Georgia
Of Arlington, formerly of Melrose. Passed peacefully on February 23, 2017, surrounded by loving family. Born in Cambridge to the late Arthur and Helen (Sgouros) Stathopoulos. Longtime companion of the late George Ploumbides. Loving mother of Suellen Burkette and her husband Shane, and their children Tiffany, Samantha, Katherine, and Kimberly. Dear sister of Christina Orfanos and her husband Theofanis of Arlington, Bessie Vlahos of Sharon, Alexander Stathopoulos and his wife Anastasia of Winthrop, and Anthony Stathopoulos and his wife Patricia of Winthrop. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street (Route 60, adjacent to Saint Agnes Church) Arlington, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at St. Athanasius The Great Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Appleton St., Arlington at 10am. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery, Lexington. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Winchester Cancer Care, c/o The Heidbreder Patient Fund, 620 Washington Street, Winchester, MA 01890.
