Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family. I remember Dick as always being in a good mood. It was always such a pleasure to meet up with him and he always appeared to genuinely glad to see everyone. He had an infectious smile and was always looking to have a good time and we all felt better because of him. We have all lost one of the true friends we were fortunate enough to have in our lives, if only for too short a time.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about your loss. Although I haven't seen Dick in several years, I can still remember hanging out and playing basketball with him at Western Jr. High outside courts in the late 60's and early 70's. He was always so much fun to be around. My prayers go out to Dick and to his entire family. Regards, Bill Petersen

Condolence: I am very sad to hear of Dick’s passing and regret that I did not make the time to see him more often that I did. He was the best man at my wedding and a best man he was. I’ll miss him. My sincere condolences to Jaan and the rest of his family.

Condolence From: Terry Collins
Condolence: Dear Jaan and family,

I’ve been very sad since I learned of Dicks passing. It’s hard for me to even believe it. Dick was so alive, he saw life in its most humorous ways and offered that insight to everyone around him.

Some of my most enjoyable memories were spent with Dick; his devilish smile and twinkling eyes were a prelude to what only Dick could conjure up. He’s one in a million, and I know all those who were lucky enough to know him realized how special, unique and loving Dick was. He will be deeply missed for sure, but his memory lives in the hearts of so many he touched.

My deepest sympathies to you and family, with wishes for you to find peace and comfort in your memories of all the times shared with Dick.

Terry Collins

Condolence: Dick was a fun-loving, good-natured guy who always had a smile on his face and a good word to say about every person with whom he came into contact. He represented what was so great about growing-up in Somerville: he never took himself too seriously and he was loyal to his friends and his community. Though I hadn't seen him in some time, I will always remember that smiling face that so often preceded a warm greeting. RIP, Dick.

Condolence: "You-you alone will have stars as no one else has them... In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so, it will be as if all the stars will be laughing when you look at the sky at night. You, only you, will have stars that can laugh! And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me... You will always be my friend." -Our hearts are with you all! -Lisa & Liz (downstairs from Jack & Joan)
