Catherine T. Reardon (Barrett)
Catherine Theresa (Barrett) Reardon,
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on February 25, 2018. Kay attended Saint John’s Grammar and High School in North Cambridge, where she met the love of her life, William H. Reardon. They were married on July 4, 1950, and were blessed with two children. Kay and Bill both grew up and raised their family in North Cambridge, where she was very involved in the community. She was a founding member of the Guild of Saint John and on the board of the North Cambridge Catholic Guild. Kay headed the Saint John’s High Class of 1943 Reunion Committee who celebrated annual meetings at the Oakley Country Club until 2014. Professionally she rose to ultimately become the Executive Secretary to the Senior Vice President of State Street Bank. Kay was an avid lifelong reader who took full advantage of the North Cambridge Public Library and their wonderful attentive staff. She loved travel, fine dining, and the theater, which she enjoyed with family and friends throughout her life. Her family is left with many wonderful memories of a life well lived. She will be missed by all those she came in contact with during her 92 years. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Bill in 2001, her parents John & Margaret Barrett and her four siblings, Margaret Barrett, Mary Madden, Richard Barrett and John Barrett, Jr..
