The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert D. MacDonald can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Larry Cronin

I knew Robbie in two different capacities. First as a lifelong next door neighbor, and later as a member of the gym that I own. Robbie was always funny. I remember as a kid talking with him over the side fence, and watching him do yard work in his Marine fatigues. He was always upbeat and had a mischievous look in his eye. Later, when he joined my gym, Robbie made friends right away among the afternoon crowd, mostly veterans and like-minded conservatives. He kept them laughing with his quick wit and sarcastic humor. He was very proud to be a Marine, and would regularly drop off a copy of the Marine Corps Times to be shared with another veteran. Robbie would underline in pen the important facts he wanted to emphasize, but refused to use a yellow highlighter even when it was offered to him! Robbie was a good man, a character, and will certainly be missed.
