Of Tewksbury, formerly of Somerville. Passed peacefully on March 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was 91 years old. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Dorothy R. (Culligan). Loving father of Laura Nargi and her husband Marco of Somerville, Joseph Dorant and his wife Stacey of Saugus, Patrick Dorant and his wife Alice of Tewksbury, Donna Donati and her husband Peter of Saugus, Daniel Dorant and his wife Susan of Dracut, and David Dorant and his wife Barbara Fran of Natick. Cherished ‘Grandpere’ of Lisa Chute and her husband Michael, Anthony Vittorioso, Jr. and his wife Laura, Arthur DiPaola, III, Joe Dorant and his wife Kim, Jonathan Dorant and his wife Jill, Shawn Dorant, Patrick Dorant, Jr. and his wife Kristi, Jason Dorant and his wife Becky, Alyssa Donati, Lauren Donati and her partner Meg Shimek, Kara Donati, Kim Krumdick and her husband Jon, Tina Dorant, Danny Dorant and Nick Dorant. Devoted great grandfather of seventeen and proud great-great grandfather of three. Dear brother of the late Francis, Mary, Elizabeth, and Robert. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Proud former member of Local 40 Carpenters Union. Joe loved spending time with his family and always looked forward to Sunday breakfast at his home. Visiting Hours will be held from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., North Cambridge on Wednesday from 4-8pm. A Funeral mass will be celebrated in Saint Benedict Church, 21 Hathorn Street, Somerville on Thursday at 10am. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery.
