Condolence From: Teresa Zarba Class of 75
Condolence: Mr. Cotter was a memorable teacher. He had a philosphy that I still ascribe to ... The Smoke Screens of History. He was always questioning the text book and asking you to look deeper. Manifest Destiny, Columbus, King George. Are there myths or factual history laid out her? Every day I watch the news with an eye to find the real story because of Mr. Cotter. He’s the only teacher that I had sign my year book. RIP

Condolence From: Chuck Carney
Condolence: Mr. Cotter was my junior year american history teacher at Arlington High. I graduated in 1980 and for all of the years since I have not forgotten the lessons he taught me. Not the facts, but the perspective of how to look at history and try to understand what really occurred. It seems like a very relevant lesson in today's climate. He was a positive and influential person in my life and on the few occasions that I saw him at St. Agnes mass, I let him know that. I'm sure he will be missed, but his lessons live on. My condolences.
