SMART, Giaconda E. (Tassinari) of Medford formerly of Arlington and East Boston. Passed away peacefully at home March 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Arthur "Bill" Smart. Loving mother of Sheila Porcaro of Medford. Devoted grandmother of Julie Porcaro of Medford and Dr. William Porcaro and his wife Susan of Arlington. Sister of Gloria Overton and Tosca Tassinari both of East Boston, and the late Massimilliano “Max”, Antenori, and Albano Tassinari. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Giaconda was a late Army veteran serving in the W.A.A.C. during World War II. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. (Rt. 60, Adjacent to St. Agnes Church) Arlington, Monday April 9th, at 10:30 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday April 8th from 3-6 pm. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
