PETROWSKY, Marie J. (Barrett)
of Lexington, died March 29, 2018 after a long illness. Mrs. Petrowsky was born in Newburyport, MA, daughter of the late John E. Barrett and Anna J. (Whalen) of Amesbury, MA. She was raised in Amesbury, MA. After graduating from Amesbury High School in 1943, she studied to become a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing in Brighton, MA graduating in 1947. In addition to her dedication to her family and the nursing profession she also had many hobbies including sewing, painting, rug hooking, and traveling. She was married to Chester Petrowsky for 49 years. He died in 1997. She leaves a daughter, Joan M. Petrowsky of Arlington, MA and a son, Steven B. of Germany, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. (adjacent to St. Agnes Church, Rt. 60) ARLINGTON, Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Camillus Church, 1185 Concord Turnpike, Arlington at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 5 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Winslow Cemetery, Marshfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
