McCARTHY, Clyde “Skip” of Tewksbury, formerly of Wilmington and Cambridge. May 14, 2018. Beloved husband of Susan (Thibodeau). Loving father of Brian McCarthy of Tewksbury and Lauren Lynch and her husband Jeff of Medford. Devoted son of the late Mildred (McCoy) and Clyde McCarthy. Brother of Diane Claussen of Martha’s Vineyard. Also survived by nieces and nephews and his cherished dog Maggie. Skip was a physical education teacher in the City of Cambridge for over 35 years. An avid Boston sports fan. Skip’s true love was officiating all sports at both the high school and collegiate level. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St. Arlington, on Sunday, May 20th from 3-7 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 21th in the funeral home at 10 am. Burial is private.
