Obituary for Clare Marie Ceppi Moll (Ceppi)

Clare Marie Ceppi-Moll, age 77, died peacefully in the loving arms of family on Friday, February 16th, 2018 in Danvers, MA.

Clare was born on March 20th, 1940 to parents Francis A. Ceppi and Marion A. MacDonald of Somerville, MA. She is the devoted elder sister to brothers Francis G. Ceppi of Arlington, MA and Donald J. Ceppi, of Bedford, MA.

Upon graduation from high school, Clare worked as a secretary at Polaroid, the first of several in her family. Her adventurous spirit brought her on travels to the West Coast and Europe; she later went on to study psychology at Emmanuel College and earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from Columbia University.

She married in 1973 and settled in The Bronx, New York, working as a school psychologist in Long Island, NY where she was respected and loved by all. She welcomed beloved daughters Kirsten Naomi in 1976 and Katy Louise in 1980.

Her resilience and indomitable spirit carried her through great adversity over the next fifteen years, including a near-fatal car accident which resulted in traumatic brain injury. After months of perseverance and rehabilitation, she was able to resume her career.

Clare later returned to her native MA and enjoyed the company of friends and family, especially her nephews and their young families.

Between 2007 and 2014, she welcomed the greatest joys of her life, grandchildren Olivia Clare, Athena Naomi, Sebastian Robert and Jacob Hudson, whose kisses and laughter lit up even the darkest of days.

Clare will be remembered as a loving and compassionate Nana, mother, wife, sister, daughter, Aunt, cousin, friend, colleague and confidante, a beautiful, sophisticated and elegant lady, a quick-witted muse and a wise and encouraging soul with a lasting influence on all whom she graced.
